Scanex is a Danish exhibition partner with roots dating back to 1982. For more than 40 years, we have worked with the design, construction, and execution of exhibition stands—always with a focus on function, quality, and responsibility throughout the process.

The Story – in brief

Scanex was founded in 1982 by Per Holmgaard and Jytte Holmgaard in Galten. The starting point was simple: to create exhibition stands where creativity and craftsmanship went hand in hand—and where solutions could be built, used, and function in the real world.

The company grew quickly. From its early days in private premises to its own production facilities, and later the move to Ursusvej, where Scanex is still based today. With more clients, more projects, and more employees, the responsibility to deliver reliable solutions also grew—in an industry where deadlines and details are critical.

That approach continues to define Scanex today.

 

How we work today

Scanex brings advisory services, design, production, and execution together in one team. This means our clients have one responsible partner throughout the entire exhibition process—and avoid the need to coordinate between multiple suppliers.

We work with both modular and custom-built solutions, always adapting the stand’s expression and functionality to the client’s needs, budget, and level of ambition. Our strength is not a single discipline, but the ability to make everything work together.

Responsibility at Scanex is not about declarations of intent, but about the way we work in practice.

This means, among other things, well-considered solutions that can be reused and further developed, material choices with a focus on durability and longevity, planning that reduces waste, errors, and unnecessary costs, and clear agreements with realistic expectations.

With our Full Circle approach, we view the exhibition stand as a long-term investment - not a one-off solution.
