Interzoo 2026, Nürnberg
A project driven by quality, insight and collaboration
Interzoo in Nuremberg is the world's leading trade fair for the pet industry and a key meeting place for manufacturers, distributors and retailers from across the globe. With more than 37,000 trade visitors and over 2,100 exhibitors, the exhibition provides an important platform for companies looking to strengthen their international presence.
For Tropica, Interzoo is one of the most important events of the year. As one of the world's leading producers of aquarium plants, the exhibition offers an ideal opportunity to showcase products, innovations and expertise to customers and business partners from around the world.
Two brands - one unified experience
Interzoo 2026 presented a unique challenge. For the first time, both Tropica and Dennerle Plants would exhibit from a shared stand.
This placed high demands on the design. The stand needed to create a clear visual connection between the two brands while giving each its own distinct identity, dedicated product displays and space for customer meetings.
The solution was a 10.5 x 7 metre exhibition stand with three open sides. By combining a central hospitality area, carefully positioned room dividers and well-defined presentation zones, we created a natural balance between shared space and individual brand presence. The result was an open, welcoming environment where both brands could stand out—together and independently.
The design also accommodated a variety of product presentations and meeting areas without feeling enclosed or overcrowded, an essential consideration at a busy international trade fair.
A centrepiece designed to impress
For Tropica, the stand is about more than presenting products—it is about inspiring visitors.
The main attraction this year was a bespoke paludarium, designed and built specifically for the exhibition. Combining both aquatic and terrestrial environments in a single installation, it quickly became the natural focal point of the stand.
Integrating the paludarium required careful consideration of both the stand design and the lighting. Working closely with the client, we developed a solution where the installation became an integral part of the stand architecture while receiving the visibility and attention it deserved.
Product knowledge is essential
Tropica's exhibition stand is far more than a traditional product display. Aquariums, plant installations and bespoke exhibits each come with specific requirements for positioning, structural support, electrical supply and presentation.
This means the project involves much more than constructing a stand. It requires a thorough understanding of the products and presentations the stand is designed to support.
Many of the exhibits showcased at Interzoo represent months of preparation and specialist expertise. This places high demands on both planning and execution. Our role is to create the right environment and ensure that every solution the client has invested time and resources into is presented in the best possible way.
That understanding is fundamental to delivering solutions that work technically, visually and practically.
Project management as a shared strength
Complex exhibition projects are rarely successful because of great design alone. They require strong project management, clear communication and close coordination throughout the entire process.
Tropica approaches every exhibition with thorough preparation and a clear vision of how its products and brand should be presented. This provides a solid foundation for successful collaboration.
Our role is to turn those ambitions into a seamless delivery process, ensuring that design, logistics, technical solutions and stand construction all work together. When both parties collaborate in a structured and focused way, the best possible results follow.
This is particularly important on projects like this, where numerous product displays, technical requirements and bespoke solutions must come together as one cohesive visitor experience.
The result
According to Tropica, Interzoo 2026 was their most successful exhibition to date.
For us, the project demonstrates how close collaboration, product insight and shared project management create genuine value. When design, engineering and logistics work seamlessly together, they create the ideal setting for a brand to perform on the international stage.
As Tropica described it, the stand successfully accommodated a wide variety of presentations and purposes without ever feeling cramped or overwhelming. That balance is precisely what distinguishes an exhibition stand that simply functions from one that delivers real results.
